Set in and around the village of Lipowy Most in eastern Poland, this zine documents the quiet rhythm of rural life in the Podlasie region. Shot on a medium-format slide film the work relies on the distinct color saturation to capture the wooden architecture, roadside shrines, and rain-deepened greens of the surrounding countryside.
Moving away from typical muted or nostalgic tones, Lipowy Most presents the Podlasie landscape in rich color but still with simplicity and restraint.

In 1985, Krzysztof Burzyński began exploring the rural landscapes of eastern Poland after dark. Equipped with a Fed 3 rangefinder set to B and an external flash, he cast sudden light illuminating fragments of fields, roads, and trees against absolute darkness.
Flashscapes brings together these early silver gelatin experiments in a manually produced, limited-edition zine. The artificial flash carves stark shapes out of the night, transforming familiar countryside terrain into quiet, high-contrast visual studies of light and shadow.

In 1982, Krzysztof Burzyński documented the annual Dożynki (Harvest Festival) at the schoolyard in Stara Rozedranka, Poland. Forty-three years later, in 2025, he returned to the exact same spot with the very same 35mm Fed 3 rangefinder camera to photograph the celebration once more.
This photobook pairs 11 historical black-and-white frames from 1982 side-by-side with 11 photographs from 2025. While political regimes, local institutions, and generations have shifted, the spirit of the harvest festival remains unchanged: faith, community gathering, music, and the shared feast. An understated visual study of time, memory, and rural continuity.
